There are two separate modules available for MIVA Merchant v4.x stores to sell "soft goods" (downloadable products), but unfortunately neither of these developers has upgraded their modules to work with MM v5. If you absolutely want to sell downloadable goods right away, your choices are to switch back to v4, or pick a different shopping cart. You could hire a developer to write a custom module for v5 for downloadable products, but it might be a bit expensive to write one-of-a-kind module. If it's within your budget, though - I'm sure one of the skilled MIVA developers would be able to cook something up for you.
