Links for Subcategories on Category Pages

I want to display a listing of the subcategories (with the links) on the category pages. This was easy to do in Miva 4 with OpenUI but I am unable to find the code that could do this in Miva 5. Can someone help me with this issue?

Subcategory navigation can be accomplished with 3rd party modules. Since you already found the category tree doesn't let you get at the SMT code, you might consider a category tree module. The one at Emporium Plus

not only gives you access to the tree links, but it has subcategory navigation AND category breadcrumbs for the category pages.

Can the subcategories also be displayed on the Product page for the parent category with this module?

If not, can it display all the main categories on the product page instead?

There is a $5 module that does the breadcrumb navigation for the current category the product is in, eg Home > TV > Sony
