Are you tracking inventory in QB but not in MIVA Merchant? It sounds like Synchro is trying to update a non-inventory MIVA Merchant product with the same item in QB that you are tracking inventory on.

Hi Laura,
That is exactly what I am doing. But I have been doing this for 6 months and this is the first time there has been a problem. Why would it start beig a problem now. If so what can I do to make it run smoothly again adn work?

Do you know what the default settings for the products are in Miva Synchro? I may have changed them and maybe that is causing the problem.
Thanks,
Hope

Why would it start beig a problem now.

you may have downloaded a QB's update that changed your set up. Check to see if you have the QB's auto update turned on. (QB's sets that as the default & you might get an update without even knowing it)

Hi,
QB auto update was on. I turned it off, but I am still getting the error messages and not able to synchronize the products. What can I do to solve the problem?

If QB's updated your set up (you can check the last download QB's made by going to the "update" section of QB's and looking for the last date it updated), then I'm not sure there is a whole lot you can do about it. Get Miva on the phone, if possible -- or QB's support. But highly doubtful QB's support will be able to help you.

If the QB's program has been altered by an update, and you can't get support from either vendor, the only solution would be to uninstall QB's, re-install it and restore your last back up of your data, then re-synch (you are doing a back-up before each synch, right ;-). If you do re-install make sure you keep QB's update turned off before you restore your data or the same scenario will repeat itself-- QB's phones home and downloads updates in the background which can, and will, alter the program for functionality of QB's but may interfer with other programs that communicate with QB's.

Sorry I can't be more help, but it does seem like a QB's update may have changed the way QB's communicates with Synchro.

Do you have the log files for Synchro set up? You can look in the synchro.log file to see what product the synch is getting hung up on. My guess is that you are no longer tracking inventory on the item in question.
