E-mail Function has stopped working

Hi Folks,

We have a program (.mvc) that gets kicked off upon completion of an on-line Miva Merchant order that among other things sends an e-mail to the purchaser about how to login to our learning management system. This has been working for over 2 years and has just stopped for no apparent reason. Here is the message that I have found in our error logs:

Premature end of script headers: mivavm, referer:

I know that initially when we set up our store we had a similar problem when we installed OUI and Darryl at OUI helped us work through that, but we have not updated OUI, MIVA, or anything on our server recently to rejeuvenate that problem.

Would anyone have a suggestion of what might be going on? If someone thinks that they can help me, contact me privately and I will e-mail you the code.

What version of OpenUI, MIVA Merchant, and MIVA Empresa are you running?

Has any of the following changed?
Empresa version
Mail server
DNS info
Hosting environment

Did you make any changes in your store under Domain Settings, perhaps? Especially to the mail server name?

Did you change the "from" email address in this system or OpenUI notifications? In most cases the "from" address should be something on your own domain, as sending email "from" a 3rd party address like Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL, etc, could bee seen as relaying and your server could be rejecting these messages.

I am on my own decidated server. Nothing has changed to my knowledge, but we do get regular security updates for Linux, etc.

Because I have my own server, I can set my own whitelist and I allow relaying on the two sites I am having trouble with.

The file dates on the files that have the code to do the e-mailing are over a yeat old so nothing has changed with them.
