I am doing an emailed newsletter in which I want to have a link in the newsletter to a search's URL. For example, I want to have a link to Santana tshirts so that the reader clicks on the link and is referred to the 15 Santana shirts in a search page result.

Question is: how can I determine what the search URL is. When I perform the search, the URL is parsed and only reads....
...domain.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?

Thanks in advance.

Create your URL like this:
www.domain.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=<StoreCode>&Screen=SRCH&Search=<Search Message>

example: www.domain.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=C&Screen=SRCH&Search=Blue%20Widget

YES YES YES. Thank you. What a huge improvement this will make... to be able to discuss a current event in rock n roll then link to products that relate to the event.

I might throw in you might have an actual category dedicated to that group of items with their relevant key words in the link text like Santana Shirts

Additionally if this newsletter or press release type channel is likely to generate massive amounts of hits to that page; possibly consider and html replica of that area as a landing page with all the focused info you are directing them to.
