Pre-Checkout Shipping Charges

We are having an issue of not being able to show the customer pre-checkout shipping charges with our current set of modules. We are using the "CBS Shipping SuperMod" and the "Mini-basket Display" by William Weiland. The mini-basket has the capability of showing pre-checkout shipping charges but not if using the CBS Shipping SuperMod.

Does anyone have a workaround for this or have any other suggestions on the best way to get pre-checkout shipping charges without loosing the CBS module?

Unfortunately CBS module had an API for other module in 4x. I believe they are doing their array differently for 5x. Perhaps Miva folks could address this issue.

A couple of months ago we found ourselves in the exact same scenario. Our solution was to disable the shipping calculator in the Mini Basket Display and employ Calculate Shipping v5 by Advanz Design: http://www.advanzdesign.com/store/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=advanz&Product_Code=CALCSHIP5
Advanz Design does work with the CBS Shipping SuperMod.

While the "calculate shipping" link is not on every page (with the Mini Basket), shipping is easily calculated with a form on the basket screen.

I got ahold of a copy of the CBS Shipping Supermod today. I synced the CBS Supermod with the shipping calculator in the minibasket. You can pull in the Supermod calculations in the default minibasket (which contains minibasket, shipping calculator, and recent visit history for one low price) or you can use the separate store morph display of the shipping calculator that can be broken out of the main minibasket. A breakout display can be seen at

I want to thank William Weiland for his help effort in getting his mini-basket module to work with the CBS Shipping module. So for all to of you who may have this combination of modules please note that you can now have pre-checkout shipping costs feature of the mini-basket and keep your CBS Shipping module. It's a lot like having cake and being able to eat it to.
