Here we go again... I always seem to get these never before seen problems.

My Miva search is not working correctly (2 problems).

1) If I enter more than 2 letters in the search box, the search result display's an (add to basket) and a (buy one now) button, but nothing else.

If I click on one of those buttons I get the following error message...
Error Code: MER-00001
Description: <b>Unknown Error</b><br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;Action = ADPR<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;Screen = BASK

2) If I perform a search with just 1 or 2 letters, I get what appears to be an adequate return with one exception... the (add to basket) and (buy one now) buttons show up at the bottom of the page.

You can take a look at http://www.gspirit.com

ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Thanks in advance

I'd tend to think it has something to do with your modifications to the search template; there should not be a second row of buttons there. Is the behavior the same if you revert it to stock? May be an item assignment issue too, either wrong ones assigned or missing one that should be turned back on.

Also, I'd recommend getting rid of the frame surrounding the store, it will prevent the site from going into visibly secure checkout which will cause customers to leave.

Hey Dave
Thanks for the quick reply.

I have both the "PAGE" and "SEARCH RESULTS LAYOUT" set to "Original" Layout.

I was thinking the same thing as you in regards to the "Item assignment" issue. I have been playing around with turnning items on and off for hours now, but have had no luck.

Is there somewhere that I can find what the defalut items for the "Search Page" are suppose to be?

Dave - I Got It !!!!

I had some code in my nave bar for a search box that I had commented out. I removed the code completly and then I turned off ALL the items on the search page and turned them back on one at a time.

QUICK QUESTION: You stated above...

Also, I'd recommend getting rid of the frame surrounding the store, it will prevent the site from going into visibly secure checkout which will cause customers to leave.

Not sure what you mean by surrounding frame.
I haven't used any frames, the site consist of tables the outer table is <center> 890px.

Please let me know if you think this is a problem?

Thanks
