View Full Version : Latu Widgets - entitities rather than item?
Does anybody know if it is possible to reference a wow wow widget via an entity rather than an item token?
item token = <mvt:item name="latu_widgets" param="prod_breadcrumbs" />
entity = &mvt: ??? ;
Thank you - trying to get a hold of the developer or 'hack' my way around the documentation is difficult at the moment.
Thanks,
Tim

The short answer is no. What are you trying to do that would require the use of an entity over an item token with this module?
I need to include some text - that's made up of several custom fields into the alternate text field of a specific image. This text - for SEO purposes has to be conditional and dynamic - we already have all the bits of information and using a custom field for the alternate text is not an option, we either do it or we don't.
Have I mentioned that we (my company) always take it to the max, when it comes to widgets? ;)
Thanks,
Tim

Shoot Bill at Emporium Plus an email on this as I am pretty sure there is a solution using the Toolkit. The Wow Wow Widget module is probably not the best way to go in this case.
the toolkit - that's an interesting approach - let me see what I can 'hack' out of that wonderful, ole module!

I can't say I have tried it, but I would think you could assign those custom product fields to an entity and call it in to your image alt tags using the Toolkit.
Maybe I don't understand. You don't need a module to put the content of a custom product field into the alt="" of an img tag.

I was assuming we were not talking about custom product fields, but other product related information if the Wow Wow Widget module was being used, but that is a good question Bill. (I realize I wrote "Custom Product Fields" in my last response, but I don't think that is what is being passed here) If we are actually talking about custom product fields, than there is no need for a module.
