Is there a module or a way I can have 2-4 pictures on the product page? I did look on the miva central but could not locate a module specific to this. I am using the flat file method to upload and have a column for each image. But I only saw two spots for pictures.

One thing I find confusing is that there are many modules out there. I wish module designers would show me specifically which modules contain features that are not already in 5.5. And what features in the module are in 5.5. Maybe the designers figure that most know what to buy and what not to. But for tme as a new user to miva it would be helpful.

A lot of things that used to require modules are now possible just by using store morph and built in features. This is one of them - you can make custom product fields to hold your extra image urls. Just go under Utilities and check the box next to Custom Fields. Then click the new "tab" across the top that says "Custom Product Fields". Set up some fields, like addlimage1, addlimage2, addlimage3. Then you can import the values via a spreadsheet, or go to each product, edit it, click Custom Product Fields, and fill in the value.

Then assign them to the page and use SMT entities to make them appear. I'm sure there are examples of this code on the forums so I won't put it all here just to save time. :)

Good luck - glad to have you on board with the software we all know and love!

The problem here is that many modules only duplicate features in the sense that they make the solution much easier to implement. For example, the feature request you've ask for. We're adding this feature to our Merchant FAST module, even though, as Susan pointed out, it can be done with Javascript and SMT code in the Merchant templates. Thing is, a lot of store owners are building their own store...and struggling enough with HTML. They dont want to learn Javascript or SMT. So, we offer FAST as a way to get features without thinking.
