Cat tree footer

Hello, I am having trouble getting my cat tree footer to appear on aidiesel.com (http://www.aidiesel.com). The items are selected properly and the code is good. Not sure what I missed. Can you help?

Oh, neat - can't even update my template. Getting a fatal error and using minimal code.

I have this under the main template:

I'm not good enough to read through that off top of my head without looking at your site, but what I would do is:


Copy out any custom extra strings you have to a convenient text doc
Select Original and click recall
Click update
Now try and start over with that and add back in your other stuff to see if it still breaks.

Here's the kicker on this one folks -

There is NO ORIGINAL VERSION in either my default or template view for the Category Tree Template in admin! Pretty special, huh? Steve at MM is trying to figure out the problem for me.

Anyone else heard of this problem before?

Newguyintown, did you ever discover a solution to your category tree footer update problem... Am running into the same difficulty myself.

I think you guys have a corrupt file or database issue. Hopefully you are at a good host and between them and Miva can cure the problem. I've heard of some weird stuff happen on 5 to 5.5 upgrades and so on.

If you don't have a huge amount of work to lose on your current project; I'd near recommend you save out all your template work to txt files along with any other custom modified admin fields and have your host wipe you store installation provided you have tried everything else.

I ended up having Miva fix the issue. There was an error at upload and somehow the "original" template never loaded. It is fixed now and running fine.

Similar to 'newguyintown' above, my web host contacted miva who created/installed my default category tree template. Everything is working now.

My host has been at it for 10 days they have no answer to this same thing.I called up Miva,They say money 1st before we could take a look.I can update anything in Miva except Store Name / messages or snft/messages.I have to do that in the SNFT page to get it done.But I just realized due to this thread about new guys problem ,I dont get an error, but I noticed in store/messages not a version # at the bottom.But the date 8/15/20087 .I guess my host was right.They checked corrupted DB's & everything.They can figure it out.I was berated in this forum saying OH it's not your host ey!Guess it isnt after all.I can create new cats & prods but no update messages.I,m glad I read your post new guy
