After I did some reading on the forum, I think I need a new merchant account...
My store since 2005 was updated to 5.5 a few weeks ago, and on Tuesday 24th, our store got 90 declined charges by same two IPs. Looks like I'm one of stores used for testing stolen credit cards. I had to block IPs, put the store in maintenance mode, Authorize.net in test mode, changed all ids and passwords, and in the end my internet merchant account provider locked my account. Actually I'm switching hosting company too.
I have another merchant account from my bank (although it's not internet merchant account) that has not been used but it's still good. I asked the bank what they use for internet and it's YourPay (=Linkpoint?). It seems Linkpoint isn't really easy to implement into MIVA from what I saw on the forum. I consider MIVA Merchant Payment but it's still Authorize.net? Did I read somewhere that these stolen card attack seem to happen to MIVA 5.5 & Authorize.net combination? Not that if different combination prevent any of these attacks, but it makes me wary... My first reaction was to go back to my local bank for internet processing but I don't know if that's any better either, especially if that gateway doesn't work well with MIVA.
If anybody could give me any suggestions on payment gateway, or merchant account provider, I appreciate it...
