We are looking for someone who can assist in bringing the following static prototype to life - http://terryludwig.com/openstock/category1.html
Here are some key success factors for our project:
• On time/on budget delivery
• Friendly demeanor
• Creativity in designing the solution
UI features:
1. Categories/SubCategories in left hand nav ⁃ We would like the ability to quick add new groupings of open stock colors i.e. Dark, Light, Warm, or Cool Blues with limited use of the Miva administration interface (the interface is fine for light work but the process is too slow)
2. Hover text/images for “More Info” and “Ultramarine Blue” need to be easily configurable. We will have 400+ open stock colors so I would prefer to limit the need to configure the categories/subcategories/product groupings in the Miva administration panel. Flat file or some similar option would be ideal
3. Limited number of “add to cart buttons” - we would prefer to have one at the top and bottom instead of one on each product row ⁃ If that can’t be done there is one thing I would like to avoid. On many sites after the item is added to the cart the page refreshes and the user is deposited at the top of the page. We could have 20-30 items on a single page which would mean the user would then have to scroll down to find where they left off. The goal would be to retain the page position after adding the item to the cart.
4. After adding an item to the cart we would like the user to remain on the same page. The “Quantity in Cart” should increment with each addition.
We are using Miva 5.06 PR 5 with mivasql. We are open to discussing an upgrade to 5.5 if there is a compelling reason to do so.
Beyond this we are open to brainstorming. We are looking to begin this work as soon as possible with a completion date of the same.
