Export/Import Flat Files?

I have exported a flat file containing all of my products and made the price edits necessary. However, I noticed there are no categories in my products flat file. If I upload this file will my categories still stay intact? Need help ASAP, please and thanks in advance.

Do a fresh export to include the category info and update your off line data with that info.
afaik you should be ok to update the update the existing products just like updating any other field, but it looks like you take a closer look at the options available for exporting including field names.
