Hi,
I am using Dreamweaver CS3 on an XP machine.
I have the Miva Dreamweaver extension installed correctly.
I have exported my page from Miva and it created a dreamweaver templates directory with files.
I load these files into Dreamweaver and all I see is a few tables, missing image icons and bits of code. Hitting F12 (preview in browser) just gives me the same information on a white background. The page looks nothing like what is programmed inside miva and is obviously missing any CSS or formatting.
The extension info says that it adds a custom Property Inspector for miva templates yet when I select something in a template the Property Inspector looks exactly the same as the Dreamweaver default.
The extension is installed and checked 'On'
How can I tell if I am using the Miva Property Inspector?
Does the extension work with all HTML profiles?
Obviously something is wrong, any ideas?
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you guys opened a ticket(s) with out support team? Make sure you have Miva Merchant Designer installed and not the old MIVA Fast Track Designer.

Hi Rick,
I have the Miva Merchant Designer installed.
Please explain the visual difference between the default Dreamweaver Property Inspector and the Miva Property Inspector.
Thanks.

Hi,
I uninstalled the Extension and re-installed it this time through Dreamweaver.
It looks like everything is now working!!
It's odd that I have several other extensions installed and I usually just run the Extension Manager on it's own to install them.
Thanks!!

I might give that a try

Same problem. I tried to re-install the extension, recreate the cache, etc. to no avail. Nothing. Should I open a ticket too ?

You may be expecting too much.
From what I can gather it's basically an HTML editor, no preview or at least mine doesn't work. F12 just generates a white screen.
I've yet to find any detailed docs or a description of what it's supposed to do.
Note: I've found it's best to delete any cache or previously downloaded templates before downloading another as it can get very confusing what's new/old/updated/etc.
After testing it all morning I think It's quicker to just post the code into notepad and edit it there.
All in all (if mine is working correctly and I don't really know). It's a very promising first step.
However, I do think it's bad to release something like this without any documentation or at least a detailed description of what it can do and what to expect.

Any help on how this is supposed to work?
The extension says "This extension provides a custom property inspector for Miva Merchant template items. The custom inspector appears in the Property inspector floating panel when a Miva Merchant template item is selected in either Code view or Design view."
My property inspector does not show anything related to this extension after I opened my PROD-page I had d/l from Merchant.
Using the latest version of DW CS3.

Can anyone offer advice and tell me what I should being able to see and do with the Miva Dreamweaver Extensions so I know if it is working or not.
I’m able to export pages from miva and then ftp them to my dreamweaver folder.
I believe I have the Miva Dreamweaver Extensions installed since when go to the help dropdown in Dreamweaver and go to manage extensions I see the Miva Extension are their. What's odd is that the Property inspector just looks like the normal Dreaweaver Properties panel even when I have a template selected / opened. Can anyone tell me what the Miva Extension property manger would look like and what I can do with it? Can you give me an example of what I would need to select on a page in order for the miva extension property manger to appear?
I have also uninstalled and reinstalled everything twice.
Can anyone offer advice and tell me what I should being able to see and do so I know if it is working or not.
I have also uninstalled and reinstalled everything twice.
Thanks

OK, there's no docs, but is there a description anywhere online on what the Dreamweaver Extension is supposed to do?
Should F12 (preview in browser) work? I just get a white screen.
Also, it looks like any CSS stylesheets are not attached when you export from miva. Is this correct?
Are you supposed to re-attach the stylesheet?

There is nothing anywhere on how to use the extension. And I heard it wasn't for Miva 5.5 but for Miva Designer.

Miva Designer is the name of the plugin, it's for Miva Merchant 5.5. The docs are lacking (for now) but there's not really moving parts. You install Miva Designer into Dreamweaver, then using Dreamweaver's FTP settings point you Site (in DW) to your Import/Export folder.
Then export pages from 5.5, open them in DW, edit them, save them, import them back into 5.5.
