I have a existing site design and layout done by a developer. I
am looking for it to be integrated into Miva 5. As an overall template for the site. How much would somthing like this cost and what is the turn around?

Technically you are looking for an Integrator...not a designer, and the cost would depend on the complexity of the design. We have found that most "designs" infer specific features and functionality, so the cost could be anywhere between $500 and $50,000.00

Dear Joseph,

I agree with Bruce, without knowing any details it is hard to give a quote. You can contact me or most of the other Developers on the Forum with more information / details and we would be happy to give you a quote.

My favorite answer to the question of: How much does a web site cost?

Is: How much does a car cost. You can get a $200.00 car or a $250,000.00 car. Same with web sites.

Actually, your pricing is a bit low in today's market. Simon Cowell spent a lot more than that on his Bugatti. http://www.luxist.com/2007/10/16/simon-cowell-picks-up-a-bugatti-veyron/

Really even with Miva 5.5 where you down load the templates and make modifications to it. I already have Miva setup, configured and running just need template modification.

Another factor is turnaround is critically dependant on the client. We have to add all sorts of caveats when giving deadlines. I can do a typical basic Miva store in a few days. However, some clients take longer than that just to get me a login.

Some clients claim to know spreadsheets well. I find that many clients must be trained. Most Miva spreadsheets are very simple but for more advanced stores the spreadsheet can get pretty complex.

Turn around is from a week to a month and depends on the additional functionality. The median is about 3 weeks.

Cost usually starts at $1,600 and median is about $3,000.

Take a look at our testimonials (http://www.pcinet-llc.com/html/testimonials.html) and portfolio (http://www.pcinet-llc.com/html/portfolio.html) this should give you a idea what we do.

Our next opening for a store integration is Monday (05/12) next week.
