Module Development: Product Custom Fields

Hi,

I'm looking for someone to create a module to allow product custom fields to be entered using a textarea rather than text box control.

I'd also like the product description textarea to be modified as to make the text wrap.

If there is enough interest, I can do a module which uses textarea for the custom product fields input. I don't think doing it for one person would be cost effective. Is Sam the only person looking for a module to do this?

It would not modify the MySQL structure to accept more than 254 characters. That would have to be done outside of Merchant admin prior to installing the module.

I may be interested. I could use a text area where a max row length and a max number of row specification could be applied and a control for whether wrapping is allowed or not. I would need this on a per text area basis. Each product would have one or more text areas, each with the above controls.

It sounds like you are talking about attributes in merchant.mvc? Why would you need that kind of control for custom product fields in admin.mvc?
