I subscribed to a few forums (miva 4, community announcements, and other products and services). I set all to instant notification. Does anyone know when I should start receiveing these emails??? I know there have been new threads and posts. Just trying to figure out when this is gonna come to me.

Dave and I just sat down and looked at the issue in regards to subscriptions. I have looked through the admin panel and made the default instant email notification, but we are still working on narrowing down some of the issues.
We're working at it.

Thanks for the info.
Also will the emails have some sort of unifying text in the subject?? The list serv started with [mru] and then I was able to write a rule for my email to move all these messages to another folder.

The emails should have "MIVA Small Business Forums" as the sender.

We believe we have found the culprit to the issue with people not getting emails.
Apparently we are blacklisted and while we thought we had solved the issue yesterday (Which was why people were getting emails), it seems to have resurfaced. We will fix this asap.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, I feel this is going to be an ongoing problem.
Since you do not control the blacklists, and some people are ignorant about how reporting things as spam can screw up a companies communication...
People need to take some personal responsibility before clicking that "Mark as SPAM" button that is so pronounced on many large ISP's mail clients.
If you sign up for a forum/mailing list, here are some tips:
1. Turn off your spam catcher for the address the forum/list responses come from (ie: whitelist them).
2. Turn off those authorizations (ie: spamarrest, earthlink's email validator, etc).
3. Do not set auto-responders on the subscribed email address when you go on vacation. No one on the forum/lists needs 100 copies of your notice :)
4. Set up a seperate email address for your forums and lists. Use your mail client's filters to segregate the incoming notices/emails into sub-folders.
5. Do not report notices, emails, receipts etc. for things you purchased, subscribed to etc as spam. They arent. You asked for them. Be courteous to the source and either unsubscribe or set a filter to dump them in the trash!

Ok, I am currently working on the option for individual email notifications. I can't give you an ETA because it seems to be taking a really long time to update itself. (I was hoping that I could post this and tell you all it had been fixed.)
But rest assured that you will once again have the individual email notification available at the Forum Level very very soon.
Thanks!
