Time Restriction Module

We have a bunch of products/services that have a required amount of production time. Currently, when checking out, a customer enters the date needed for the products ordered and many times that date is not realistic. We then have to call or email the customer, etc. We would like a date field next to many of our products that will make it so a customer can only add the product to his or her basket if he or she puts in an realistic need by date. Please let me know if this is something you could help me with. Thank you.

Do you have any guidance on the site for what a "realistic" date is? Is each product diffent or are they all about the same?

We provide production times for our products (i.e. 5 business days, 10 business, etc) but the production time varies depending on the products. I hope that answers the question. If not let me know.

On individual products we include the production time. This varies depending on the products ordered.
