Greetings,

We have successfully captured html output from an extensive evaluator written in MivaScript Compiled. This output is stored in a database for view in a browser. Works fine.

Our customer has asked us to create a utility that would add a link to the screen view that with a click a PDF of the screen would be created - excepting that page breaks and such would be appropriately created rather than table cells running from page to page.

Your script will need to open the db3, find a match on two fields, then compile a single field into printable PDF. No changes to the data is required. I do not see the database ever exceeding 1000 records.

I do not care what language it is written in so long as it works. Several are supported by the server. Hosted at Hostasaurus.

I am happy to provide example output and links to sample database.

Time is of the essence. I will eventually find a way (probably PHP)but am happy to shuck out a grand to save me the hassle. HA!

Did you search for HTML - PDF converters? There are several of them.

Hi Bruce,

I have found and tested several of the converters. Unfortunately, most of them out-of-the-box want to display the page exactly as it is viewed on the screen (i.e., poor page break control) and includes the header/footer info from the browser.

The biggest reason for my need is a time crunch. Our software is used to analyze employment applications for specific keywords, etc. As everyone is graduating from college soon, we are swamped with Help Desk requests and simply do not have time in the immediate future to work this our ourselves.

In a world of paper-free initiatives, I am amazed at the number of large organizations that still want to print each application received.

Warmly,

Kevin White
