View Full Version : Bug in switching subscribe notification
So I switched the style to the Miva style. I went to subscribed forum/forum tools/subscribe option. Selected the droplist for "instant" and subscribed. It didn't change the setting, so I unsubscribed from the forum. Went to subscribe again with "instant." I checked the setting again, and it's set at daily, like it's hardcoded. This particular forum is the Merchant 5. What is the problem here?

Julie, Anymore news on this? Here's more info, I'm, not sure, but even though my setting seems to be stuck on "Daily" I might be getting instant notification anyways.

With the current default style, you should have access to the instant notification, I believe I fixed this on Thursday, so yesterday. I looked up your account and it's set to Instant email notification, but you might have to reset it on your end.
You won't get a notification for each post, just that there's a new reply until you go and visit the forum.
I am actually currently looking through the various mods and doing some research to see about getting emails for every post in a subscribed thread. No promises, but I am looking into it.

I am using the default style and I am glad to know the setting for instant is working when I subscribe to the forum. Do you see the problem, and confusion though, if you go back to the "Subscribe to forum" listbox, it always, lists "Daily."??

I changed the code so that you could get instant notification in the forums. Let me see what I can do about showing it as a default. I probably won't get to it this weekend, but I will see what I can do about it first thing Monday morning.

Thanks Julie. Just so you know, I think this is now just a cosmetic glitch that, should be fixed. But, I am happy knowing that my selection is being saved properly.
