Hi folks --

I have a client who wants to integrate a Miva store with a CMS. The end user is an established business that publishes material every day, so they need a high-powered CMS. If it's written in PHP, I can handle the Miva-to-CMS hookup, such as letting customers use one login and password for both. But I'm not a CMS expert.

For starters, I'd like to get some recommendations about what CMS to use. I tend to prefer open source, but the client has the budget for a proprietary system if the quality justifies it. This project could require just a few hours of consulting to help me with the rough spots; or it might turn into a major CMS setup job, I don't know yet.

Anyone who's interested, or would just like to recommend their favorite CMS, please contact me here or by email.

Thanks --

Try taking a look in to Joomla or Drupal

EMediaSales (James Harrell) offers Celestia's CMS for free at emediasales.com. Did you already look at this solution? They also offer assistance in case you need help.

Andreas, have you actually used Celestia? I'm aware of it, but I'd like to get recommendations from people who have experience with the apps.

I just (5 days ago) started using celestia and it looks good but I can't give any detailed report about usability or deep insides yet.

I think Joomla is awesome. It has so much going of it. But I'm just a novice. I'd reallly like to see Miva integrate as smoothly as possible with Joomla.

Have you tried embedding a Joomla page inside a Miva template using the HTML object tag? We do that with WordPress a lot.
