Dear ScanAlert Customer:

We are pleased to announce that McAfee, Inc. and ScanAlert, Inc. have
entered into a definitive agreement for McAfee to acquire ScanAlert.
This is an exciting development that will increase the adoption of
HACKER SAFE certification as the Internet security standard, and
expand our technology leadership in the Web site security industry.

Upon closing the acquisition, McAfee will integrate ScanAlert into its
new Web Safety Group as a centerpiece of its strategy to deliver
triple-play protection, to secure consumers’ PCs, Web experiences, and
mobile phones.

ScanAlert will continue the same great level of service you’ve always
experienced in the past. Your existing contracts will remain in place,
your account relationships and support infrastructure will remain
unchanged.

McAfee’s decision to acquire ScanAlert is an outstanding validation of
the quality of our people, services, technology and the HACKER SAFE
brand. By adding the world's most viewed trustmark to its Web safety
product family, McAfee will make Internet security even more
transparent, helping to ensure online shoppers are safe from identity
theft and credit card fraud. The combination of McAfee and ScanAlert
will provide you with even greater value as we expand our services.

McAfee’s press announcement is available at

We anticipate the acquisition will close in the first calendar quarter
of 2008.

We hope you share in our excitement as we embark on this new chapter
in the growth of our company. Thank you for your support, and we look
forward to continuing our important relationship with you as ScanAlert
becomes part of the McAfee organization.

Sincerely,

Maybe they will dump some of the obnoxious and unprofessional sales people at ScanAlert.

I'd be more worried about the obnoxious and unprofessional people at MacAfee... Have you ever tried calling them for support, sales, or anything else at all? Even if you can reach their sales people and mention a product that MacAfee sells on their web site, chances are about 90% that they will have no clue it's a MacAfee product...
