Cn You Reset Order Numbers?

I'd like to present the option to my client to launch the Miva version of their site continuing on with the same invoice/order numbering that their current site has. Can the starting invoice/order number be set in Miva?

I'm hosted with Hostasaurus, if my client wishes for me to adjust the order number, is this something that I can access or do I need you guys to access the table for me? Thanks.

You can do it via the database admin tool in the control panel or just email support and we can do it for you quickly.

I have heard that you do not want to reset to an ealier number because that could generate duplicates which might corrupt the database.

If you use Linkpoint then you can't go backwards as they will not accept previously used numbers, but if you clear your baskets and orders databases completely and pack, it should be safe to go back to earlier numbers assuming you don't have any third party modules that also track order numbers, such as Viking's Order Status Manager.
