Can the moderator of this forum please let me know why my post about an issue with Empresa and making SSL connections was deleted? It was posted on Friday.

Since this is of a public interest, I'd really prefer if you answered David's question publicly and not through PM or email. And even if you insist on the private communication, I hope that David will post the answer here anyway.

The initial reply that I received by email indicated that my post had been moved elsewhere, but then the reply on the web no longer had that so it looks like it has been deleted. There is another thread elsewhere in the forums from the person that inspired me to investigate this issue, she was having a payment gateway issue with Innovative and called to ask us if the problem would go away on our servers; I figured I better check that out before I say yes and I was able to reproduce the same SSL verification error. I have seen similar errors with other SSL certs that require intermediates but in those cases the certs directory was consulted prior to it erroring out; in this case a debugger revealed that the error occurred without any access to the certs directory, and it was on a Verisign cert; although it is a chained cert.
I have provided Miva with access to the test store today and will plan on posting a summary of what the problem is determined to be; the server config is pretty standard, Empresa 5.03 (since the test store is mivasql), all the patches to MM5 that 5.03 will allow and RedHat Enterprise with their version of OpenSSL.
