I am considering adding Google Checkout to my website.

For those of you that are successfully using Google Checkout:

1) Did you see an increase in sales by offering Google Checkout?

2) Did your sales stay about the same and some just started using Google Checkout rather than your other payment methods?

3) Does Google Checkout offer downloads of all sales transaction history?

4) Any downside to using Google Checkout?

Thanks for any information you would like to share about Google Checkout.

I'm sure they're out there, we get a report on usage through Google Checkout and there are a good number of users.

And there are also a number of people out there that are still having problems with it? Do any of you monitor the Google Forum for Google Checkout?

Not that you don't have enough on your plate already ;)

Correct me if I am wrong, but from the posts I have read on the Google forum, most seem to have problems with timeout errors where the shipping must be calculated from another website such as UPS or USPS.

I use flat rate shipping so there will not be any shipping calculations during my checkout.

I am just trying to get some input from merchants that are using Google Checkout to find out if they have seen any increase in sales because of offering this extra payment method.

We're aware that the current implementation has some issues and while true we have a number of things on our plate, I can assure you that this falls high on the priority list after some of the long standing bug fixes.

As for conversion rates, Steve, let me see if I can talk to some of our users and find out if they have any A/B testing metrics to share.

We started running Google Checkout in early July and turned it off by the end of July. The Miva Google Checkout Documentation says that it is compatible with shipping supermod. It is not...... Shipping Supermod limits shipping methods by amount of order, Location, product, etc. Under Google Checkout ALL SHIPPING METHODS show up.

We offer free shipping in the Continental US on orders over $100.00. We had people from Europe selecting this free shipping method because it showed up as available. I turnned off Google Checkout after I determined the problem.

Once MIVA addresses the problem and Google Checkout will in fact be compatible with modules that limit available shipping methods we may turn it back on.

As with all new modules that are always issues. We have a few clients that our using it with only a few issues. Giving your customers more options can only give you more chances to keep that customer.
