Google Checkout storefront problems

I have a wicked little problem here. Google Checkout works fine. The storefront template doesn't work well with it. There's nothing in "Pay with" and this is causing no end of grief. I removed the Checkout button because this was causing additional confusion - Google Checkout does not appear on that screen. Adding to the fun, Buy 1 Now brings up a screen with "Pay with" which, of course, is blank. Hitting continue generates an error message. The only place Google Checkout appears (and works well by the way) is in the Basket Contents. We're fine with that.

This is creating an oddball flow and, quite frankly, it's a kludge. I need to fix this pronto or find another ecommerce solution.

FWIW - Google Checkout is not payment option - it's a checkout and is designed to divert from the basket to it's own checkout. It's no where near as nice as PayPal which at least works with the MM payment screens. It would almost be better to not use something like MM but just use the Google Buy buttons on static pages.
